Meet the Team

Adam Treadwell

Hey! I am Adam. I am a former BMX Pro rider turned bike mechanic and doer of all things at Santiam. I am not new to Santiam or Salem. I worked at the shop from 2006-2009 while also managing the Salem BMX complex and then moved to southern Oregon to chase fires. Troy and the Willamette Valley lured me and my family back. When I am not repairing or selling bikes at Santiam I like to be outside with my two beautiful kids and wife. My favorite place to ride with my family is Gateway Green. I’ve always enjoyed helping folks get their bikes back to great working condition and I look forward to bringing your bikes back to life!

Gonsalo.jpg

Gonsalo Morales

I am Gonsalo. I grew up in Salem and have been working at Santiam for 10 years. You can usually find me wrenching on bikes or at a local skatepark. I enjoy skating with my friends and getting into all the shenanigans when I am not working. I don't have much art hanging in my house minus my favorite bike frame of all time - a Bone Deth Living Dead. I look forward to helping you with your repair needs next time you're in the shop.

Jen Hatch

Hi everyone! I am Jen. I am new at Santiam but have been a customer of the shop forever. My main job at Santiam is sales and I enjoy working with folks that are just beginning their cycling adventures. Mountain biking is my first love and my favorite places to ride are outside of Dallas and Mary’s Peak. When I am not working at Santiam I like to ride or run in the woods with my two dogs. You can also find me volunteering with the Salem Area Trail Alliance (SATA) where I serve on its Board of Directors as the “party czar!” You might also bump into me at Mountain Bike Oregon where I’ve been volunteering as a mountain bike guide since 2014.

Thom Weeks

My name is Thom. I am one of the co-owners of the shop and have worked here in some capacity for 27 years. My main role is shop manager where I do the purchasing and anything else that needs to be done! My favorite type of bike is a mountain bike and I have a soft spot for long travel hardtails. When I am not at the shop I like to ride my mountain bike on just about any gravity tech trail. I also like to spend time gaming with my son or messing around on a skateboard. Helping folks change their health through cycling is the thing that keeps me in the bike industry. Come say hi and let’s talk bikes, skateboards, or debate the best game on the market.

Troy Munsell

Hey! I am Troy. I started working at Santiam in 1998 and I am now one of the co-owners. I managed the shop for four years before deciding to purchase it in 2003. Like most of the staff here, I am a “Jack of all trades” and fill in wherever needed. Helping people is the reason I have stayed in the bike industry. I am one of the original members of Black Rock Mountain Bike area and the creator of Granny’s Kitchen. I am proud that Santiam was the sole contributor of the system when it first started. My favorite style is mountain biking but I also enjoy touring. When I am not riding bikes I like to throw pottery, hang out with my wife, travel, and I love getting together with friends to play tabletop dungeons and dragons.

Nathan.jpg

Nathan Hawley

Hey friends! My name is Nathan. I keep the shop’s inventory up-to-date and organized. This year I am super excited to help coach the Salem Composite Descenders. You can learn more about this awesome group of kids at https://www.scdescenders.com/. I am passionate about about making Salem more bike-friendly and try to volunteer with various local organizations when I can. When I am not working I like to mountain bike and go bike packing with friends. I am always happy to help customers get the part or bike they need and answer questions.

Sam.jpg

Sam Beals

I am Sam. The newest full-time staff member at the shop. You can usually find me behind the counter assembling your next bike, helping customers find the right bike or skateboard, or working on my manual on rainy days. BMX is my first love but these new mountain bikes are hard not to love. I like to mess around with my car and hang out with friends at the skate/bike park when I am not at work. Let me know how I can help!
